Professor Md. Zulfiqur Rahman Khan after graduation from Dhaka Medical College in 1982 obtained fellowship from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1992 and fellowship from Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, UK in 1993.
During his stay in UK, he gathered substantial training in laparosopic surgery. Later on his passion in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery inspired him to acquire invaluable experience while working as a registrar surgeon in National University Hospital, Singapore, He also attended advanced liver surgery training in Eastern Hepatobiliary Institute, Shanghai, China.
In 1999 he became a member of liver transplant team with world famous liver transplant surgeon Dr. K.C. Tan and continued his work as a transplant surgeon from 1999 to 2001. He is Practicing as Hepatobiliay and pancreatic surgeon for last 15 years.
Presently he is working as a Professor of Hepatobiliary Surgery in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
